Public Hearing of Council on Repeal of Blanket Rezoning (UPCOMING)

The major public hearing at which Calgarians can present their views on whether to repeal the 2024 blanket rezoning policy. Council will hear from the public before deciding whether to formally pass the repeal bylaw through three readings. The current R-CG zoning rules remain in effect until all three readings are complete. Given the scale of the 2024 hearing, a large turnout is expected. A repeal decision carries potential risk to up to $861 million in combined federal housing funding.
